Lake Argyle Swim Quad Team

On Saturday 4th of May 2024, a group of four committed swimmers are competing in the annual Lake Argyle 20K team event hoping to raise money for their chosen charity - Sunshine Butterflies.

They have competed in many different endurance events over the years whilst fundraising and working in a variety of professional capacities.

Stacey Bitz our nurse is a local from Katherine NT and she has competed in many long-distance swims whilst raising her four children. Stacey’s aunt Marion will be driving the support boat this year and Peter Eaglen will be paddle support.

Raechelle Finch our PE teacher and mother of three has a long background in triathlon and endurance trail running. Gail Murphy also a teacher competes in triathlon and teachers in inclusive education at QUT.

Angelika Hannon who lives at Noosa QLD with a background in PR has competed in Ironman events around Australia and is a parent of a member at Sunshine Butterflies.

The team are excited to do the swim this year and contribute to the wonderful outcomes for the families at Sunshine Butterflies.
